Falling Planets: a vertical survival party game for 1–8 phones

Hop from planet to planet as they rise and shrink. Last one up wins.

The ground is leaving. Planets rise past you in a ladder, each one smaller than the last, and standing still is the only guaranteed way to lose.

How to play Falling Planets

1–8 players · Stick + JUMP · no download

  1. Join the Game

Scan the QR code on the Game Screen with your phone to join as a player. Everyone starts together on the home planet.

  2. Move and Jump

Drag the stick to run across a planet's surface and press JUMP to leap to the next one. Planets are round, so the edge sneaks up on you.

  3. Climb the Ladder

New planets rise from below and keep rising. Miss a landing, slide off a curve, or drop past the bottom of the screen and you are out for the round.

  4. Be the Last One Up

The planets get smaller and further apart the longer the round runs. The last player still on a planet wins.

About Falling Planets

Falling Planets is the vertical survival entry in the LanPlay party collection — real physics on curved surfaces, where friction and footing decide how wide a planet actually is to stand on.

Falling Planets FAQ

The questions people ask before the first round.

How is Falling Planets different from Balance?

Balance is one shared surface that everybody's weight tilts. Falling Planets gives you a stream of separate landings to aim at, so the pressure is on your timing rather than on the group's footing.

How many players can play Falling Planets?

1–8 players. Solo it is a survival climb; with a full lobby the good landings get crowded, which is where most eliminations come from.

Can I knock other players off?

There is no attack, but the characters are solid bodies — landing on a small planet somebody else is already standing on is a very effective accident.

How do I see who is still alive?

A column of character chips runs down the left edge of the screen for the whole round, so the room can always see exactly who is left.

How long is a round?

Up to about 75 seconds, and usually much shorter once the planets start shrinking.
