Free browser party games — no download, no sign-up

Every game on LanPlay runs in a web browser. There is no installer, no app store listing, no account to create and no payment to make — not a trial, not a freemium tier, not a pack you unlock later. You open a page, you get a room code, and the people around you scan it.

That matters more than it sounds. The reason most group games never actually get played is friction: somebody has to buy it, everybody has to install it, and by the time the third person is still signing in, the moment has passed. A room code removes every one of those steps. The slowest part of starting a game here is deciding which one.

Nothing persists afterwards, either. No profile, no save file, no email in a marketing list, nothing left on anyone’s phone. The room exists while you are playing and then it does not.

What “free” means here

No purchase. All twelve games are open to every room. There is no catalogue split between free and paid, and no game is held back behind a pack.

No account. Neither the host nor the players sign in. There is no email step, no password and no social login.

No install. Nothing is downloaded to the phone or to the screen. Closing the tab is the whole uninstall process.

No ads between rounds. A party game interrupted by a thirty-second pre-roll is not a party game any more.

No-download, no-account FAQ

The catch, or the lack of one.

Are these games actually free, or free-to-start?

Actually free. There is no paid tier, no party pack to buy, no cosmetics and no ads between rounds. Every one of the twelve games is available to every room.

Do I have to sign up or make an account?

No. Nobody makes an account — not the host, not the players. The host opens a page, the players scan a code. Nothing is stored against your name because there is no name.

Is there anything to download or install?

No. Both halves are web pages: the shared screen and each phone's controller. Nothing goes through an app store and nothing stays on your phone afterwards.

What is a room code?

A four-to-six character code shown on the big screen. Players either scan the QR code next to it or type the code at lanplays.com/join. It is the only thing linking a phone to a screen — no invites, no friend lists.

Which browsers work?

Any current browser on either end — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and the browsers built into most smart TVs. The games are 2D physics, so they do not need a gaming GPU.

Can I play a browser game like this on my own?

Seven of the twelve work solo as high-score runs: Flappy Flock, Balloon Chaos, Hill Racers, Tower Tumble, Traffic Hop, Tile Rush and Falling Planets. The rest need at least two people, because they are built around players getting in each other's way.

Gather the crew.

Throw it on the big screen and let the chaos begin.
